Bahamas: Part 1

We went on our annual Bahama trip in the beginning of June. We LOVE this trip and look forward to it every year!!! It is so nice to get away from television, cell phones, and the demands of normal life. I'm going to divide this post up because we took a lot of pictures!!

We take a 9 seat plane over from West Palm and meet up with 3 other couples.

MK & Henderson
Shelley & Patrick
Hoebel & Mallory

We rented the cutest little house called Peace 'n Rice. It had a beautiful view of the Atlantic, an amazing deck, and a cute little pool!

Perfect picture of the guys!!

We stay in Hope Town, a small island about 6 miles long. Golf carts are the main method of transportation and everything runs on island time!!

The first night there we enjoyed happy hour at Abaco Inn.

Followed by dinner at Harbour's Edge. Last year, the entire island was out of lobster. So, Mike was ecstatic that he was able to get it this year!

Sunday, we drove our boat to Nippers for the Pig Roast and the Nipper juice. Third largest barrier reef in the world. Amazingly beautiful view!

Monday we went snorkeling, headed to Pete's Pub, and went conching.

Tuesday we chartered a boat and went fishing. The only thing we managed to catch was a buoy. Talk about disappointing!!

Wednesday, we climbed to the top of the Hope Town lighthouse before saying good-bye to half of our group.

 Stay tuned for part 2...
